    Abstract

Ceramic injection molding is a shaping technology suited for manufacturing complex shaped advanced ceramic parts in mass production. Simulating the mold filling process helps to identify critical sites which have to be considered in tool design. Introducing tracer particles into injection molding feedstocks enables the visualization of flow lines in green samples by X-ray computed tomography. The CT images of marked samples are used to validate mold filling simulations.
